In an industry of countless nameless faces, tenured celebrity stylist Aserlean “Memphis Lynn” Sanders stands out head and shoulders above the competition. As the proud owner of Lynn’s Got It Going On Beauty Salon & Non-Surgical Hair Replacement Studio, Lynn’s unwavering dedication to creative styling and fine precision haircare practices has enabled her to sustain a dedicated and ever-growing clientele for 30 plus years. When asked what keeps her motivated, Lynn says “ I am passionate in my efforts to enhance the natural beauty of each individual that sits in her chair.”
Having accumulated a wealth of knowledge of the hair industry, it came as no surprise when she secured her licensure through the state of Tennessee as a cosmetology instructor. Understanding the ever-changing landscape of the industry, Lynn frequently participates in hair show competitions and attends educational hair seminars. Through her ongoing professional training, Lynn has solidified several areas of specialization including barbering, hair extensions, and hair replacement. While she is undoubtedly a highly skilled hair expert, she continues to study under the “who’s who” of the hair industry. She fine-tuned her barbering skills under the tutelage of Wade “The Barber”. Lynn has also elevated her skill set in the area of hair replacement through her studies with Ms. Toni Love of Atlanta GA.
She has been endorsed by top industry professionals such as master barber Curtis Smith, who services celebrity clients such as Grammy Award winner Usher, and super-producer Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. She served as the lead stylist for the “Hair Show Experience” produced by Jerome Demonte (Tyler Perry’s Have & Have-nots, Greenleaf, Madea Boo, Hunger Games & Guardians of the Galaxy). Lynn is a part of a celebrity hairstyling networking which includes the likes of, Traci Johnson, Neeko, Sam Fine, Brianna Davidson, all of which she has received technical certifications. Lynn’s talent and passion caught the eye of noted stylist Johnny Wright. Wright took notice of Lynn during an education conference in Nashville, TN. Lynn has since become Wright’s mentee and leverages the insight gained from his tutelage to drive her professional advancement.
Lynn has added the credit of Creative Style Director to her already stellar list of credits; serving as the hairstylist and makeup artist for various fashion shows and stage productions throughout the region. She has served as stylist for several of the “Grizz Girls,” the official dance team for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. Lynn has gained credits as an exclusive stylist to many local celebrities, politicians, and socialites within The Bluff City. Her V.I.P roster includes the late Ruby Wilson known as “The Queen of Beale Street”, chart-topping southern soul recording artist Miz B, American Idol season 2 finalist Trenyce Cobbins, Commissioner Sara L. Lewis, and City Councilwoman Tajuan Stout-Mitchell. Her work has been featured in print publications, album packaging, and music videos.
Lynn has produced the Lace Closure Custom Wig instructional DVD, which walks learners through a step-by-step process of constructing hair units. She has done platform artistry for major haircare brands such as Kera Care, Avalon, and Justin Kace. Lynn self-published her hair design magazine which featured her creative hairstyles, entitled Unique Hair Designs©. Lynn has established her line of cranial prosthesis, custom units, and hair and eyelash extensions. Her interests lie not just in hair care but in fashion as well. She displays her love of fashion and personal style in her daily presentation. Memphis Lynn declares, “Hair and fashion are in my heritage. My, maternal great-grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and cousin are all hairstylists. My grandfather was a barber. I have a sister who is a nail technician and a niece and nephew who are both professional models. It’s in my blood; I was born to do this!” There is no doubt that Lynn is on the fast track to becoming one of the industries’ most sought-after stylists and image consultants. She is well on her way to becoming an international brand in her own right.
